DexProtector 15.0.9.63

Enhanced security and future-ready compatibility

This latest release of DexProtector introduces significant updates to bolster mobile application security, with a focus on strengthening runtime checks, improving platform support, and providing more actionable threat intelligence through its integrated services.

Key enhancements in this version include:

Advanced Runtime Checks and Integrity Control
  • Jailbreak detection for iOS has been fortified with enhanced detections for Dopamine-based jailbreaks, including where jailbreak-hiding tweaks and modules are used
  • On the Android platform, TrickyStore and unlocked bootloader detections have been hardened. These previously report-only checks are now fully active to proactively block threats
  • An adaptive custom firmware check has been introduced for Android, triggering additional attestation checks when bootloader anomalies are detected
Strengthened Platform Support

Android:

  • In an important update for forward compatibility, native library protection has been enhanced to support Android versions, with 16 KB page alignment. This aligns with the Android ecosystem's shift to adopt 16 KB page sizes on newer devices, ensuring that protected apps remain compatible and performant
  • Further Android enhancements include removing the requirement to specify trust anchor certificate file formats for Public Key Pinning and improving the processing of R8-obfuscated OkHttp library classes

iOS:

A compatibility issue with processing filenames containing non-ASCII characters has been resolved

Improved Threat Intelligence with Alice
  • The app version reporting scheme has been refactored for greater clarity, distinguishing between `version` (`versionCode`/`CFBundleVersion`) and `version_name` (`versionName`/`CFBundleShortVersionString`)
  • Incident reports for iOS now include more granular data, such as app response, Developer Mode detection, and Jailbreak status
