This release brings clearer context to iOS security events in Alice and improves protection compatibility across Android and iOS.
Android:
- Strengthened protection against native library injection
- Improved compatibility for apps targeting Android 17 (API level 37) and apps using custom AppComponentFactory integrations
iOS:
- Added detection of iOS virtualization and simulation
- Optimized Public Key Pinning and Certificate Transparency checks for hostnames resolving to multiple IPv4 and IPv6 addresses
- Resolved String Encryption issues involving Swift metadata
Alice:
- Added component ID reporting to distinguish events originating from iOS app extensions
Knowing which process raised the alarm
Alice reports from iOS now include a component ID, distinguishing security events raised in extensions from those raised by the main application. This helps teams identify the affected component and spot patterns confined to a particular extension.
Keeping pace with the platforms
This release updates Hide Access for apps targeting Android 17 (targetSdk = 37), improves compatibility with custom AppComponentFactory integrations, and resolves Swift metadata processing issues in String Encryption. These changes help teams maintain protection as their applications and platforms evolve.
