DexProtector 16.1.87
This release extends Public Key Pinning and Certificate Transparency support to iOS apps using Apple’s Network framework and improves native library packaging compatibility on Android.
Android:
- Improved detection of enabled ADB debugging and active ADB connections, and strengthened runtime protection
- Optimized the Native Library Encryption container format and improved support for uncompressed native libraries and 16 KB ZIP-aligned Xamarin libraries
- Resolved a Resource Encryption issue affecting empty resource and asset files
iOS:
- Added Public Key Pinning and Certificate Transparency support for apps using Apple’s Network framework
- Strengthened anti-tampering, anti-instrumentation and code protection, including String Encryption, Class Encryption and Flutter engine protection
Mobile API Protection
- Added a JWT field containing the token generation timestamp in epoch format on Android; iOS support to follow
Alice:
- Added DexProtector version reporting on iOS
Pinning beyond the standard path
Some iOS applications use Apple’s Network framework for greater control over connections and custom protocols. For connections that use TLS, Public Key Pinning and Certificate Transparency checks are vital to protect sensitive backend communications from interception and analysis.
This release extends DexProtector’s support for both mechanisms to TLS connections established through the Network framework, helping teams enforce the same security policies across more of their networking stack.
